About
I hold a PhD in Nineteenth-Century Literature from King’s College London, alongside BA and MA degrees in Comparative Literature. This gives me strong expertise in close, critical reading and comparative analysis: the key skills for GCSE and A-Level English literature. My research is published in peer-reviewed journals and an edited book, and I've taught at university level as a Teaching Assistant at King’s College London and a Visiting Lecturer at Canterbury Christ Church University. I've tutored school students for several years, through MyTutor’s Schools Programme, and through The Brilliant Club charity, working with school-referred students both one-to-one and in small groups. My professional credentials are verified by The Tutors' Association.

Track progress
A quick 15-minute, no obligation conversation to find out more about my tutoring, and /or to understand your child's needs and exam board.
Weekly, term time sessions run over Zoom — a comfortable learning space for the student, with no complicated platforms or logins to manage.
Parents receive progress updates showing the skills being developed, the areas being targeted, and how tuition is helping their child move towards stronger grades.
Which exam boards do you cover?
AQA and Edexcel, at both GCSE and A-Level. If you're not sure which your child is studying, check with their school directly. I'm happy to discuss the finer details in a free, no obligation call.
How are sessions delivered?
Online, via Zoom, one hour a week during term time. Your child needs a laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone, plus pen and paper. A phone could be used, but the onscreen session materials would be more difficult to view.
How do paired sessions work?

Paired sessions are for two students studying the same exam board and texts. Lessons stay focused and relevant, with the benefit of shared discussion and learning alongside individual guidance and feedback; this option works particularly well for students. Please arrange a partner before booking. If you need help finding a suitable match, you’re welcome to get in touch.
How can I find out more or get started?

Email me to book a free 15-minute call using the button above. We'll talk through your child's needs, their exam board, and whether individual tuition or paired sessions are the best fit. There is no obligation to book a session.
